Mi'kmag Dinner $45 per pers
Explore the historical and current culture, and the lifestyle of the northern New Brunswick Mi'kmak First Nation. Visit the Aboriginal Heritage Garden, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institute and of Parks Canada. Learn of the plants used for medicinal purposes before the europeans landed here. The Heritage Garden plans to open in 2005.
End a perfect day with a salmon dinner cooked on an outdoor fire and served in an authentic Teepee by the Labillois Family. Mrs Labillois is cherished by her 12 children and dozens of grand children. Dinner is preceded by tradional prayers and followed by Mi'kmaq Songs and dances. The Labillois ancestor was the healer for the first europeans landed in this region.
